How was your day? How was your year? How was your life?

In this fast and furious stream of life, time become precious commodity devoted for productivity. We then may start to stop to think over our life. Pondering, reflecting, and wool gathering become luxury one can not afford anymore. Alas, we are lost in the maze of routinity and dissatisfaction. Can examination of our day and life help us?

Lets hear what Socrates once said:

Unexamined life is not worth living.”

Bill W., the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, also said:

“For the wise have always known that no one can make much of his life until self-searching has become a regular habit, until he is able to admit and accept what he finds, and until he patiently and persistently tries to correct what is wrong.

Furthermore, Ignatius of Loyola, the founder and leader of Jesuits said:

Twice a day, or at least once, make your particular examens. Be careful never to omit them. Above all, so live as to make more account of your own conscience than you do of others; for he who is not good in regard to himself, how can he be good in regard to others?

Now, will we examine our day daily?
